Open Source - the Rules:

State: 07/29/2004

"Open source" means that source data is laid open for public sharing of its development and freely available. This applies also to my vehicle files for railway simulations put down here. The original models were developed for the application "eisenbahn.exe european class - EEEC" (trade mark of the German company "Software Untergrund") and can be downloaded at the internet on
http://home.arcor.de/w_koehler/opens.htm.

This is condition:

Further distribution and modification of these models are permitted - even in the context of commercial publication - provided that:
a) these items may be passed on only under the same conditions under which they were received. This means especially that no limitations of any kind may be imposed on costless further distribution to third parties within the framework of these rules.
b) it is acknowledged that all rights in the original models or components created exclusively by me remain my property without restriction. Authors of modifications can again make appropriate own rights valid for components produced by their part, whereby par. a) has to be considered in every case.
c) this text "Open Source - the Rules" is attached directly to the models in form of a txt file.
d) in referring to a commercial collection (websites, advertisements etc.), in which /exclusively/ my models or such based on them are present, my authorship and the open source idea are mentioned.
e) both the construction files of the origin version and those of the current modification are attached to each recently published model originated on base of my models. In how far construction files of intermediate phases have to be attached, too, can be decided individually by their authors.

I would be glad:

- to get a documentation of each finished model by E-Mail etc. I will not make modifications my own in any way, but this measure serves to have an overview of the state of development.
- to be already consulted before building of a model so that I possibly can give supplementing hints. Errors and multiple developments are to be limited this way.

I would particularly like to receive any critical comments or suggestions for improvement.

Reservation:

I reserve the right to withdraw or modify these conditions at any time. Such withdrawal or modification shall not have retroactive effect.
